About Atilivs Ironworks

Historical bladesmithing, informed by the surviving record.

Forge portrait forthcoming

I'm Corey Peterson. I forge historical blades by hand in Vernal, Utah, under the name Atilivs Ironworks.

The work centers on pattern-welded seaxes and Anglo-Saxon knives, with Roman, Norse, and medieval pieces alongside. I started with rebar in a charcoal forge fed by a blow dryer. The tools got better. The standard stayed the same: study the find, name the sources, and be honest about what's documented and what's a modern choice.

In the Society for Creative Anachronism I'm known as Atilivs Primvs Castvs. The blades I build serve in tournaments, ceremonies, and on the belts of people who use them.

If you want a piece with real history behind it, look through the works and get in touch.
